Outlook Express and Attachments By default Outlook Express 6 from Microsoft, does not allow you to open attachments. This is a security feature to protect your computer from possible viruses. To over ride this you need to take the following steps. Open Outlook Express (if it is not already open) Click on tools at the top of the page.
Next click on Options...
Click on the Security tab
Uncheck to box that reads Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus. Click Apply and then OK, and your done.
